Quickbooks Accountant Batch Entry

This tutorial shows how to do quick Batch Entry in the Quickbooks accountant edition. You can create transactions in Excel, copy and paste into the Batch Entry form, or use the ProperConvert app that can extract transactions from PDF, QBO, QFX, OFX, QIF, CSV, Excel, Mt940 files and copy formatted data into the clipboard ready to paste in Quickbooks (in the converter app, click on the CSV tab and select the target as a batch entry. See this tutorial as a video at https://youtu.be/codh2q-Y0Cw

To open the Batch Entry form, in Quickbooks Accountant edition, select Accountant, Batch Enter Transactions

There are different transaction types: Checks, Deposits, Credit Card Charges and Credits,

So if you have data in Excel and you format data in an expected way, like Dates, expected Date format, Payee, Account, Amount, Memo. Then you can copy from Excel and paste it here without using the tool. But if you have something like OFX format or PDF, you cannot really do that, but with the ProperConvert you can do it. And all you have to do here is to select 'QuickBooks Batch CCard', you don't need to save any file.

OFX files do not have categories, but QIF files do have categories. So you may also fill up categories here if you like. For example, for the payee name 'August bill' you could say, that this is 'Utilities'.

And just press 'Ctrl' + 'V'. It entered Dates, entered Payees, pasted amounts and descriptions.

Click 'Save Transactions' and you've done.
